How I Work

Therapy shaped around you and your needs

I am a qualified counsellor and I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).

I work in an integrative way, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic ideas and approaches to meet your individual needs. No two people are the same, and neither are their experiences, so our work together is shaped around you.

At the heart of my work is the Person-Centred approach. This provides a warm, non-judgemental space where you can be yourself and feel truly heard. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to support you as you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.

We can adapt the way we work as your needs change. Sometimes this may involve gentle reflection and emotional exploration; at other times it may be more focused on understanding patterns or developing practical strategies. I draw on Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles, alongside other therapeutic ideas, to ensure our work together remains tailored, meaningful and effective for you.

My practice is trauma-informed, which means I work with an understanding of how past experiences of trauma can affect your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours today. I move at your pace, respect your boundaries and help you explore your experiences in a way that feels safe, manageable and healing.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
